My Story: An Encounter Praying For the Dead on My Way To Church

The Christian who is in danger and the Christian who is chronically whining are both topics that are discussed in this lecture. I would like to share with you a letter that I got today from one of my colleagues in the Philippines. Before we begin, I would like to share this article.

My decision to not alter the spelling or the wording was based on the fact that they are his. To the Reverend Smith: With your help, I would like to express my gratitude to the Lord. The very first encounter with the deceased occurred on Saturday night while I was on my way to a church in Accra, which was the capital of our country in the past. As a result of our bus accidentally entering their zone, we came across a group of armed robbers consisting of roughly 42 people who were equipped with modern firearms. The gang fired many rounds into our bus; it was a very dangerous site, which resulted in the instantaneous death of the bus conductor, the tyre bursting, the radio blasting off, and the vehicle being forced into the bush, where they chased us until we came to a complete stop. A thorough search of all of our bags was conducted, and they came away with our expensive goods, including cash. Last but not least, the commander issued an order that those individuals who had paid their tithes for the previous three months should align themselves on one side.

During that time, they handed out death sentences to all of the individuals and ordered two of us to leave. In a state of helplessness, we slept there till the crack of dawn. A total of around six buses were engaged in the drama, and at the same time, they sexually attacked almost all of the ladies. The Grace of God in the Church, Bishop Dr. Joseph Rankin. First, let’s have a look at the Bible. Romans 8:35 Who is it that will keep us from encountering the love of Christ? Does the suffering, the misery, the persecution, the starvation, the nakedness, the danger, or the sword have any bearing on it? The word of the Lord is unchanging and unchangingly truthful. As a result of their faith in the gospel, many people are experiencing suffering, sorrow, persecution, and even the possibility of receiving death threats. Still, they continue to do so. In spite of everything, they continue to have faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

According to my observations, the issue that exists in the modern world is that there are an excessive number of Christians who are idly waiting for the rapture to take place, and they are not concerned with the condition of their other brothers and sisters who are spreading the gospel to the rest of the world in a manner that is damaging. Being content with attending one or two services per week, providing financial support to the church at times that are convenient for them, and not really paying taxes but expecting to have a voice at business meetings are all areas of comfort. The church, on the other hand, is not utilising the funds to spread the gospel but rather to build upon rather than create further structures. The compassion that is characteristic of Christians has vanished. Romans 15:27] It has brought them a great deal of satisfaction, and they are their debtors. Therefore, since the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, it is also their responsibility to minister to them in matters pertaining to their carnal things. Romans 15:27 is not only a passing idea on Paul’s part; rather, it is a mandate from Christ for the establishment of all the members of the body. 1 Corinthians 3:1 Brother, I am unable to communicate with you in a spiritual manner; rather, I must speak to you in a carnal manner, as if I were speaking to infants in Christ. There are times when the church loses its course and becomes carnal rather than spiritual, and 1 Corinthians 3:1 serves as a warning to Christians about this possible occurrence. They have developed a carnal mindset, which prevents them from being able to obtain spiritual insight into the gospel. 1 Corinthians 3:3 This is because you are still carnal; despite the fact that there is jealousy, contention, and division among you, are you not carnal and walk like men? According to 1 Corinthians 3:3, when members of the body begin to live as men rather than as Christians, they begin to behave in a manner that is Christ-like in appearance, attitude, and objective.

In spite of the fact that we sometimes get lost as a result of our carnal mindness, the words of God are able to chastise and reprove us. Hebrews 15:1-2 Furthermore, brothers, I reveal to you the gospel that I preached to you, which you have also received, and wherein you stand; by which you are saved, if you bear in mind what I taught to you, except you have believed in vain—that is, if you have not believed in vain. The verses in 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 expose us to the fact that even if we have been saved, we are still responsible for the message that we have received. Paul also said, “By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you.” There are many who would have you think that the church is an old child, but in reality, it is a kid that is growing up each and every day. It is thus necessary to nurture, care for, and love it as a kid, and yes, it is also necessary to occasionally chastise it because of its disobedience to the word of God. Due to the fact that it has failed to take a position against hypocritical and erroneous teaching that has been created by man in an effort to placate the congregations, the church has grown lazy in its responsibility to both God and man.

It is not possible to bring individuals to heaven using this method; rather, it is a means of sending others to damnation or causing them to lose their blessings in paradise. Let’s take a moment to focus on these topics as we read a passage from the Bible. Matthew 3:13–15 Every man’s work will be made evident, for the day will announce it, since it will be exposed by fire, and the fire will test every man’s labour, regardless of the kind of job that he has done. Every individual who continues to improve upon his job and adheres to it will be rewarded. In the event that a man’s work is destroyed by fire, he will incur a loss; nonetheless, he will be saved, just as if he were rescued directly by fire. 1 Corinthians 8:2 And if there is a guy who believes that he knows anything, he is not yet aware of anything that he needs to be aware of. 2 Corinthians 3:5 Although it is not true that we are capable of thinking of anything as being of ourselves, the sufficiency that we possess comes from God.
