I’m sure you’ve heard that saying a lot of times, but did you know that it comes from the Bible? Yes, Luke 6:378 says, “Judge not, and you will not face judgement; condemn not, and you will not face condemnation; forgive, and you will receive forgiveness.”
If you give, it will come back to you in a big way: people will throw themselves into your arms and fill you up to the brim. You will get the same amount back.
A lot of people use this text to talk about giving things out of love. The idea behind it is still the same: when we give to God, we get back more than we give.
If this sharing concept is true, we should pay attention to it because it affects how we treat other people too.
This is a problem that many people who say they are Christians deal with. A lot of people who say they are Christians find it hard not to criticize others in the church. They don’t understand that this is just a cocky sense of pride that makes them feel strong. They believe that what they say is right and proper. But the problem is that what we say isn’t really okay in God’s eyes just because we feel okay with it. A lot of people who judge don’t know that they are doing something wrong. They forget that God’s Word makes it clear that we shouldn’t judge.
People’s lives are still ruled by their bodies and their own wants and needs. Indeed, we may think that we have finally found our way, even after years of going to church. But when we think back on things years later, we often see the mistakes we made, even though we thought we were right at the time.
Your faith may be stronger than brother X’s, but he probably has some strong points too that you don’t know about because you can’t figure out what’s going on with brother or sister X. God is the only one who can see what’s inside people. The only one who can really judge is God.
According to God’s word, we should not judge others.
We should listen to God, but we don’t.
How can you really say that someone is wrong and guilty of sin when you are doing wrong yourself by judging them? Paul says this in Romans 14:3. Do not look down on someone who doesn’t eat, and do not judge someone who does eat, for God has accepted both of them.
4: Who is it that decides the work of another person? He either stands or falls in the eyes of his boss. In fact, God has the power to make him better.
Some men value one day more than others, while others value all days the same. Let each man fully change his mind.
Whoever looks at the day looks at it in the eyes of the Lord, and whoever doesn’t look at it in the eyes of the Lord doesn’t look at it. Those who eat should do so to honour the Lord and give thanks to God. Those who don’t eat should do so to honour the Lord and not eat.
No one lives or dies for themselves.
8 So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
9 This is why Christ died, rose from the dead, and came back to life: to be Lord of both the dead and the living.
But why do you judge your own brother? Or, why do you aim for nothing, brother? Every one of us will stand in front of Christ while He judges.
The Lord says, “As long as I live, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will give thanks to God.” 12 Because of this, each of us will answer to God for our actions.
13 So, let’s stop judging each other and instead put our attention on making sure that no one puts up barriers or gives others chances to trip.
14 The Lord Jesus has shown me that nothing is fundamentally dirty; what makes something dirty is the person who thinks it is dirty.
15 But if your brother is upset about your food, you are not walking in a kind way now. Don’t kill him with your meat; Christ died for him.
16: Don’t let anyone say bad things about you.
17 Goodness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit are what the kingdom of God is not.
18 Because someone who serves Christ in these ways is good in the eyes of both God and people.
19 Following the things that bring peace and help each other out is the right thing to do.
20. Meat ruins what God has done. Everything is good, but the person who eats bad food is bad.
21 It’s bad to eat meat, drink wine, or do anything else that might make your brother trip, get angry, or become weak.
22. Do you believe? Keep it to yourself in front of God. He is happy because he doesn’t condemn himself to what he lets happen.
23 And anyone who doubts will go to hell if they eat because they are not eating out of faith, and everything that is not faith is sin.
Romans 15: So, as strong people, we should take on the illnesses of weak people and not focus on ourselves.
2: Let’s all do good things for our neighbours to make them better.
3 Because not even Christ pleased himself; as it is written, the blame fell on me from those who blamed you.
4: Everything that was written before was written for us to learn from, so that we could have hope through waiting and comfort in the texts.
Now, according to Jesus Christ, the God of patience and comfort gives you the ability to have the same views as each other.
6 So that you can praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, with one mind and one mouth.
7 So, accept each other, just as Christ accepted us to the glory of God.
This makes it clear that we should love and accept each other, just like Christ does for us.
God doesn’t want us to cause fights among the people.
We’re just as bad as the person we’re criticising!
Do you ignore what’s going on? NO, Never! Please don’t! You should not judge the person, but instead pray for them. Pray that their eyes will be opened and that they will see how full God’s love is for them. Pray that God will help them see that they are going in the wrong direction and that the Holy Spirit will open their minds to see this. Do not act like God! You don’t need to help him. He can handle things without you.
Remember not to judge other Christians, even if they seem like they aren’t ready for adulthood. They are being helped by God, and believe it or not, He will make things right.
Do not judge, and no one will judge you. You will not be judged if you don’t judge others. If you forgive, you will be forgiven.
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” is all that is needed to follow the rule.
